WE LOVE EGYPT! The Egyptian people welcomed our Australian family with open arms. We arrived into Sphinx Airport then made our way to our accommodation in the heart of Giza. Our apartment had views of the Pyramids!! We explored all there is to offer in Cairo including The Pyramids of Giza, Andrea Mariouteya, a Felucca Boat Ride at sunset on The Nile River and tried the most incredible traditional Egyptian food. We have been asked many times if we found Egypt safe for a family and our answer is YES! We loved the experience, history, culture, food and everything about Egypt and cannot wait to get back one day soon to explore the rest! We have Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, Marsa Matruh and Siwa in our very close radar!! Stay tuned for Part 2 where we arrive in Sharm El Sheikh and immediately fall in love. So much so, we were even in discussions about a possible holiday home there! This episode hits differently and we have definitely gained a soft spot in our hearts for Egypt.
