AstrHori XH-2 - Is it an Upgrade over the AH-M1?

It looks different than their previous AH-M1, but is it really an upgrade? Well, sort of.... It's certainly a little better in build-quality. And the new design makes the moveable "shoe" (major selling point of the AH-M1) a non-issue. But I think in doing so they may have just created a NEW issue when using it on a 35mm SLR. I don't think it's a deal-breaker - maybe only a slight inconvenience. You be the judge.
