Art VLOG #2 - How I Begin an Environment Art Piece Without Overthinking It
🎨 In this second episode of my environment art vlog series, I’m still in the early stages of building out a 3D scene in Blender. This one’s all about setting up the terrain, blocking in key elements, thinking through camera placements, and pulling together reference—without getting too organized too early.
Staying loose at this stage helps keep the creative process fluid and open to new ideas. Overplanning can kill momentum, especially when working on complex environments. So instead of rushing to polish things, I'm letting the scene evolve naturally.
If you're into environment art, world-building, or just want a behind-the-scenes look at how I approach the early phases of a 3D project, this one's for you.
🧠 Key themes:
Blocking & composition
Creative exploration over strict planning
Blender workflow tips
Staying open-minded early on
