The weather is finally cooperating, so I thought I would walk you around the apiary and take a peak inside one of the observation hives. As good fortune would have it, the queen was right there laying eggs on the face frame in an observation hive. April is starting off great! It's also time to get those supers ready, and maybe set up a few nucleus hives so you can head off a swarm or two as you keep a queen for insurance if the swarming colony fails to produce a replacement.
