An Ideal Early Winter Backpacking Trip (with New Gear!)

With a winter storm warning in the forecast, I set out with my producer Rainer and his dog Tucker (the best dog in the world) to spend the night in the Wenatchee National forest and experience the first snow of the season! To help make a cozy camp in the snow (and rain) I brought some all new ultralight backpacking gear designed for the rain and snow to try out - a brand new tent, an ultralight tarp, a brand new synthetic ultralight quilt, new ultralight warm winter apparel, and more!
