American Dream, the Story of an Immigrant by AAHKS President, Javad Parvizi, MD, FRSC

AAHKS President Javad Parvizi, MD, FRSC, a native of Azerbaijan, Iran, immigrated to the U.S. in 1995 after completing his medical degree in the UK. In the 2023 AAHKS Annual Meeting Keynote Address, Dr Parvizi invited fellow immigrant arthroplasty surgeons to speak about the opportunities this country has provided to them. He shared a glimpse of his personal experiences as an immigrant, as well as a sampling of the many contributions immigrants have made to USA culture, science, technology and economic advancement.
