We take a tour of local permaculture educator, Charles Otway's syntropic agroforestry project on his farm in Pemberton, Western Australia. Whilst syntropic agriculture has its beginnings with Ernst Gotsch in the tropics of Brazil, Charles is one of a handful of pioneers exploring the possibilities in temperate and mediterranean climates.
Join us for a sustainable farm tour where we dive deeper into the intricacies of this process looking at the 3 syntropic projects around his farm including:
00:00 Incredible 3 year old backyard jungle and food forest
15:29 New syntropic experiment in the paddock using Blue Gums (Eucalyptus globulus)
and
20:21 Deciduous and evergreen orchard on marginal land.
