All-New 2024 Lexus GX 550 review // Like it or love it?

This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2024 Lexus GX550 body-on-frame SUV. The 2024 Lexus GX550 has a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, full-time 4WD. Gone is the V8 but the GX gets a power boost, it’s up 48 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid will be available later, no details have been released on this powertrain. The 2024 Lexus GX550 is a 5-7 passenger body-on-frame SUV, some models come with a bench seat, others captain’s chairs but the Overtrail models delete the third row making them a 5-passenger vehicle. Standard features include, a 12.3” multi-information display, 14” touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker Lexus sound system, wireless charger, 8-way power heated and ventilated front seats, Nuluxe upholstery, a heated steering wheel, moonroof, manual folding third row seats, a power rear door and Lexus Safety System 3.0. In the US, there are some features that are not standard like a heated steering wheel and a wireless charger. Optional features for the 2024 Lexus GX550 include, massage seats, driver and passenger lumbar support, 10-way power front seats, driver seat memory, a panoramic sunroof with a dimming feature, heated rear seats, a panoramic view monitor, head-up display, power tilt telescopic steering wheel with memory, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, power folding third row seats and a power rear door with kick sensor.
