ALIEN: ROMULUS (2024) MOVIE REACTION - THIS WAS SO EXHILARATING! - FIRST TIME WATCHING - REVIEW
Welcome to our first-time watching as we react to Alien: Romulus (2024). Director Fede Álvarez went above and beyond to give fans of the Alien saga a prequel that not only pays homage to the films that came before but also fills in some gaps in the lore and explores different ways things can go south very quickly when you are trapped in a space station with a Xenomorph. Fede Álvarez and Rodo Sayagues kept this script as tight as those facehugger containers! There's barely any room to breathe and that's the fun part. Once the tension starts to ramp up you won't leave the edge of your seat. The fact that the crew aboard the "Renaissance" were the ones that retrieved a cocoon, which happens to be the same xenomorph that killed most of the Nostromo's crew was a great full circle moment. There's so much we'd like to talk about. From Cailee Spaeny's fantastic performance as Rain cementing herself as yet another badass female lead in the Alien franchise to David Jonsson's incredible touching and disturbing at times performance as Andy. Hopefully there's more to come from this franchise and after seeing what Fede Álvarez delivered with this film we'd love to see him come back in the director's chair. We hope that you enjoy our reactions, commentary and review as we discuss the intense action sequences, gripping suspense, and jaw-dropping practical effects that make "Alien: Romulus" such a wild ride and a highly entertaining film.
