This is a gum arabic based medium which you add to your paints along with a small amount of water for a thicker consistency or more water for a more creamy consistency. The paint then behaves more like oils or acrylics and can be applied with a palette knife or a brush. I have often used acrylics over my watercolour paintings to add a highlight of colour or just an interesting contrast of textures so I was super excited when I heard about the existence of this! Another wonderful thing about it is your do not need any special solvents like you might do with oil and you can use the same brushes you use for your watercolour paints (though I did use an acrylic brush just to be on the safe side). If you do give it a go please let me know how you get on in the comments.
