Abandoned and forgotten Places in South Africa, Bethulie Dam Resort

Once Bethulie Dam Resort was a very popular Tourism destination for fisherman or holiday makers with accommodation and camping facilities. Today, unfortunately, all that is left of the chalets and rondawels, are only ruins. You may still camp over night at your own risk, for there are no security. Fishing is still good. The small town is rich in history with concentration camps from the Anglo Boer War. The Orange river and Caledon river is flowing nearby into the Garieb dam.
