A Walk Across London In The Year Of Jack The Ripper - 1888.
A Tour From Trafalgar Square To Mile End Road. What was it like to live in London at the time of the Jack the Ripper murders? Well, in this video I've put together over 100 photographs and images that show the streets of Victorian London to create a walk though the streets of London in 1888. You will see unique photographs that capture the lay out of London at the time, and the video makes use of a series of birds eye maps that were published in 1886, to chart our way. You will see many locations that were, in one way or another, linked to the Whitechapel murders, and will get a true feel for the look of London at the time. This is as close as we can get today to travelling back in time, so come with me on an evocative journey through London in the age of Jack the Ripper, and witness locations - and even streets - that have long since vanished from landscape. I mention the following videos in the tour:- Richard Mansfield, Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde & Jack The Ripper. https://youtu.be/RzX9PRTeKFM The Jack the Ripper Letters https://youtu.be/ZBG18wDeyi0 George Chapman https://youtu.be/RUuRmyPuFeQ The Goulston Street Graffito https://youtu.be/XdnNuBkf9vY
