A Tribute to the Soo Line - FULL VIDEO (2000)

This is C. Vision’s full video covering Soo Line locomotives leading trains in Minnesota across CP’s former SOO and Milwaukee Road mainlines. Various SOO locomotives are seen in service, including models SD40, SD40-2, SD60, SD60M, GP38-2, GP40, and MP15AC. At the time of production, most of the 700-series SD40s and SD40-2s were working their final miles for CP, with many removed from service and retired around the year 2000. We travel east from Glenwood, Minnesota, through the Twin Cities, to La Crescent, Minnesota. This takes us across CP’s Paynesville and River Subdivisions, along with a glimpse of the Merriam Park Subdivision and BNSF’s St. Paul Subdivision at Hoffman Avenue in St. Paul.
