A Modern Touch Where Time Stood Still | FBL House
FBL House is a renovation of a 1940s single-story home in São Paulo, blending historic preservation with contemporary design. A concrete corridor divides the restored original structure—featuring warm wood, brick textures, and cozy interiors—from the new three-story wing, built with a metal structure and black cladding. The design prioritizes natural light, cross-ventilation, and framed views of the lush surroundings. Key features include a lap pool, an open-plan living area, an observation deck, and a rooftop garden, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection while balancing memory, functionality, and modern aesthetics.
