A Film Photographer's Guide to the Redwoods | Pentax 67 & Kodak Ektar 100
IG: @expiredbren www.brendanflesher.com In this video I am offering a three-day itinerary for photographers hoping to capture the redwoods in Humboldt and Del Norte counties in Northern California. I am also including what I found to be the ultimate combination for photographing the area. The gear that I used was my Pentax 67 with 75mm f/4.5, 45mm f/4, 200mm f/4., and 135mm f/4 lenses. This camera setup worked really well with Kodak Ektar 100 to bring out the wonderful green undergrowth found in the redwoods. From above, the region looks like a confusing mosaic of state parks, a national park, and national forest lands. With that being said, I found a great combination of trails worth hiking and left the area feeling both fulfilled and excited to return for more. There are practically countless trails worth hiking, but I found these all to be especially notable: Itinerary: - Intro: 00:00 - Day 1: Trillium Falls Trail at Prairie Creek State Park: 1:17 - Day 2: Nature Trail at Prairie Creek State Park: 3:00 - Day 2: Lady Bird Johnson Grove at Redwoods National Park: 4:37 - Day 3: Fern Canyon at Prairie Creek State Park: 5:50 - Day 3: Boy Scout Tree Trail at Jedidiah Smith State Park: 8:57 - Conclusion: 10:50
