A Creative Method to Multiply Amaryllis from Blub Scales | Double Amaryllis Propagation (Turn on CC)

In this video I'm going to take some scales from a bulb with "bud blast" inside. Bud blast is one of the reasons why Amaryllis doesn't bloom. You know it when the flower bud dries up after emerging from the bulb, but we hardly know it when it dies back inside the bulb, unless we remove the scales or chip the bulb to check. You'll see what an Amaryllis bud blast inside is like. And you'll see how I care for these scales to make them grow shoots. On the other hand, I'll replant the rest of the bulb to continue blooming! With this method, you can multiply Amaryllis without sacrifying the whole bulb. The best time for bulb scale propagation is spring and early summer with a temperature around 20C/58F. Choose a bulb before blooming, or a bulb after recovering from blooming.
