80 Steps: Expert Agrees w/ Karen Read Defense During Cross About 'Incorrect' Phone Activity

Karen Read's lawyer Robert "Bob" Alessi cross-examined Jessica Hyde today (Wednesday, May 7, day 11) in Read's re-trial in Norfolk County Superior Court in Denham, Massachusetts. Hyde is digital forensics examiner and George Mason University instructor who examined John O'Keefe's cell phone after he was found dead in the snow outside Brian Albert's home in Canton early on Jan. 29, 2022. In this clip, Alessi questions Hyde about her statements regarding O'Keefe's phone activity before he was found dead. Hyde wrote in a report that there was no activity after 12:20 a.m., but another expert said there's other acitivty such as the phone being unlocked. 02:58 Report displayed 09:20 She agrees steps could have occurred 20 seconds later.
