The Chameleon Skyloop Antenna is a full wave, ham radio horizontal loop. It is big, efficient, and extremely quiet, and nearlyinvisible. If you've the space, this HF antenna is a weak signal dream!
Hello Operators.
Our choice of ham radio antenna, will make or break our stations performance. Today we take a look at the installation, benefits and performance of one of my new 80 meter horizontal loop antenna, the Chameleon Skyloop. The Skyloop (similar in design to a skywire antenna) is a full wavelength, horizontal loop antenna, resonant on 80 meters. It will be installed in a delta loop configuration, horizontally. Although designed for 80 meters, it is usable on frequencies up through 50mhz.
When compared for a vertical antenna, the first thing most operators notice, is the extremely low noise floor. If choosing between something like the DX Commander or other quarter wave HF antennas, the difference is amazing. If you have lots of noise at your QTH, choose a horizontal loop like the Chameleon Skyloop antenna for HF.
It doesn't matter if yours is a ham radio contest station, for ham radio emergency communications, or a portable ham radio station operating during ham radio field day. The Skyloop HF antenna will boost your stations capabilities in unimaginable ways. It is not a magic antenna, but it is extremely well designed and proven ham radio antenna system.
