This vlog is about behavior management in a secondary classroom. I define a defiant or challenging student as someone who makes it extremely hard for a teacher to teach and a student to learn. I offer 7 of my strategies for managing challenging behavior. Some of my strategies include: specific positive feedback, independent time with the student, mindful approaches, making connections with the student, and seeking advice from teachers the student admires.
