50 Massive Projects Transforming Ogun State
#ogunstatenigeria #megaprojectsinnigeria #megaprojectsinogunstate Arguably regarded as the “Industrial Capital of Nigeria,” Ogun State generated ₦146.87 billion in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in 2023 alone, earning it the fourth position among Nigerian states. It consistently ranks among the top five in IGR performance, particularly among non-oil-producing states. This impressive record is driven by its status as an industrial hub, its strategic proximity to Lagos—the nation’s commercial capital—efficient tax administration, and sustained investment in infrastructure. Looking ahead to 2025, the state aims to boost its IGR to ₦314.8 billion, significantly contributing to the financing of its ambitious ₦1.054 trillion budget—all under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun and his I.S.E.Y.A. mantra. Ogun State has allocated ₦284.456 billion to infrastructure in its 2025 budget, representing 27% of the total ₦1.055 trillion appropriation bill. This makes infrastructure the largest single sectoral allocation in the budget. The 2025 budget, titled the “Budget of Hope and Prosperity,” aims to tackle key development challenges while promoting inclusive, diversified, and sustainable growth. It prioritizes critical areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, housing, education, youth empowerment, and agriculture. Hello, everyone!
