★ 4K 🇨🇭Cinuos-chel-Brail - St Moritz - Poschiavo Diesel cab ride [07.2020] Switzerland

Today's trip is quite a rare occurrence. After a night of track work, Paolo is taking the engineering train fom Cinuos-chel-Brail to Poschiavo, including a change of direction in St Moritz. Thanks to the fact that the entire RhB network is electrified, diesel trains only operate for construction, track clearing or emergency purposes. The first 15 minutes of the journey take place before dawn. The GoPro camera isn't good in low light situations, the powerful headlights of the Gmf 4/4 II locomotives however do a better job of lighting the way than the standard locomotives we've seen so far. After our departure in St. Moritz, prepare yourself for the breathtaking views along the Bernina railway (Unesco heritage listed) in the midst of summer. On the 7% downward slopes, our speed is restricted to 20 Km/h to prevent the train brakes from getting too warm. This gives us a chance to really soak in the scenery.
