48hr Fishing Challenge | EP2 | Chasing North Wales Cod
Session 2 of this 48hr challenge comes to you from Llanddulas beach, definitely not the Menai Straits like I intended.
After having to follow a bit of a diversion leaving Mostyn, I figured I would only get around 2hrs of fishing on the Straits. Whilst pondering the options as I made my way along the A55, I spotted Llanddulas car park, a place I have seen 100's of times on my pilgrimages to Anglesey. A place I had always wondered upon, does it fish well, is it sandy, is it deep?
Split second decision made, I switched lanes (apologies to the Jaguar I just overtook, I really wasn't that close though) slid off the slip road and made my way to the car park.
After several checks of google maps, magic sea weed, the weather forecast, and in and out of the van to look at the sea state, beach, rocks etc etc. I decided to just crack on and give it a go. I figured I had as much chance of catching Cod here, as any point along the North Wales coastline as any, and venturing further a field to Colwyn or Llandudno would only eat in to more fishing time. I would save those for another day!
Hope you enjoy, I'm trying to punch videos out as quickly as possible this year. But let me know if you think the content is slipping!
Take care and tight lines!
