2D vs 2.5D vs 3D Carving - Part 36 - Aspire and VCarve For Absolute Beginners
More down here ↓↓↓ Click SHOW MORE!
This is the 36th in a series of videos geared toward the person who has never worked with CAD or CAM in the Vectric Software before.
In this video, I’ll take a step back, return to the basics, and demonstrate the differences between 2D, 2.5D, and 3D vectors, models, and most importantly, toolpaths.
I’ve been asked several questions on this topic over the last month, and decided that this would be the perfect time to address it.
In this video, I’ll show you the basic differences between a 2D vector and a 3D model in a CAD/CAM environment. We’ll get into toolpathing, and I’ll show you when and where 2.5D enters into the discussion. Then we’ll preview those toolpaths, and go over the main differences between them.
As usual, if you have any comments or questions about anything I covered in this video, please put ‘em in the comment section below.
On Sunday, January 12th, I’ll be hosting a LIVE Q&A session, where you can ask your questions pertaining to anything I covered in this video. That Q&A starts at 3 pm Eastern time, Noon Pacific time. Hope to see you there!
