John discusses the family business evolution, since his great great-grandfather created Fiat in 1899 in Torino, Italy. John's personal involvement started when Fiat went through a turbulent period in 2003, and has been taking care of the development of the Family interests since then. Rather than relying on past success, the Family believes an enterprise needs to adapt to the ever changing environment day after day. The Family also has a strong conviction that education is critical to future success and has refocused the Giovanni Agnelli foundation to invest solely in education. (Chicago, October 2, 2010)
