What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. This is that amazing tingling or static-like sensation that you feel on your skin and scalp that moves down the back of your neck and spine. It's almost like a low level euphoria, you might feel positive feelings, tingling, relaxation, or a combination of all three. ASMR is most commonly triggered by specific sounds, noises, and visual stimuli. You might have experience ASMR in the past when getting a haircut, or when someone whispered in your ear.
What does ASMR mean to me?
To me ASMR is almost like an art form. There are thousands of ASMR-tists out there, all with different skills levels, different strengths and weaknesses, different focuses, and different triggers. Just like more traditional art, some artists might appeal to different people for a multitude of different reasons. My goal with my videos is to try to make the types of videos that I enjoy seeing, and build a community of similar minded ASMR fans. As the ASMR community rapidly grows so does it's understanding and mainstream popularity. Now ASMR is regularly used to help people relax, fall asleep, help their their moods, cure their headaches, and as an aid in meditation. So please enjoy these videos, and feel free to let me know what you would like to see from me in future videos.
